WHO WE ARE
The Bozzolo family has been dedicated to chestnut growing for several centuries in Viola Castello. Through many generations, it has always managed this business directly while maintaining its respect for traditions and for the territory. The Marco Bozzolo Farm is part of the Slow Food Community “Guardians of the Chestnut groves of the Ligurian Alps” and in 2019 it won the National Green Flag Award in Rome.
Always engaged in chestnut cultivation, each successive generation has kept the secrets of the long process of drying the chestnuts in accordance with the ancient tradition that, still today, takes place in the original dryer, a 19th century construction in stone and wood completely renovated in 2018.
The Marco Bozzolo Agricultural Company manages and controls the entire production chain, from the management of the chestnut groves, to the harvesting, selection, transformation, packaging and marketing. For confectionery products we rely on the professionalism of some local artisans.
